Will Peacock save Magnum PI? Will Magnum PI stream on Peacock?

ÒIsland VibesÓ Ð As Magnum tries to keep his new relationship a secret and handles cases solo while Higgins is away, he is tasked with finding a single mom being hunted by two very dangerous gangs. Also, while Higgins is abroad with Ethan, a misstep forces her to assist an old employer, and Rick gets some bad, but also very, very good news, on the fourth season premiere of MAGNUM P.I., Friday, Oct. 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Earlier this month, networks cancelled shows left and right, leaving many fans heartbroken about their favorite series not returning with new episodes. One of these shows is, unfortunately, CBS favorite Magnum PI.

The crime drama has been cancelled after four seasons on CBS. According to the network, Magnum PI simply did not perform at the numbers CBS wanted it to in order to guaranteed its stay on the network. This season averaged 7.3 million viewers, TVLine reports, which is down from season 3. This doesn’t change the fact that fans are disappointed and have been campaigning for at least one more final season. Now, years ago, this goal may have seemed impossible. If a series is cancelled, it’s cancelled for good. But these days, it’s not strange to learn that a cancelled series has been picked up by either another network or streaming platform, though it’s usually the latter.

That said, Magnum PI truly does have a chance to be saved. Could the Peacock streaming platform save it?

Hidden Remote previously reported that TVLine hears that “Universal TV is trying to shop it [Magnum PI] around.” Could Magnum PI‘s new home be Paramount+? Perhaps even Peacock? Peacock could work, but since this is a CBS drama, and episodes are already available to stream on Paramount+, I think Paramount+ is our best option. Fingers crossed! We would love to see at least one more, final season for the crime drama. As soon as we learn more, we’ll update this post!

The series stars Perdita Weeks, Jay Hernandez, Stephen Hill, Roger E. Mosley, Zachary Knighton, Tim Kang, and Amy Hill.

Other series CBS cancelled, include How We Roll, B Positive, Bull, Good Sam, Love Island, and United States of Al. Which of these series will you miss the most if they are not saved.
