Previously, we reported that Astro was planning to add more international streaming services to its platform and true to its words, Malaysia’s number one entertainment service today announced that several streaming services are now available on its Ultra Box. These include beIN SPORTS CONNECT, iQIYI and TVBAnywhere+.
Astro lauded the addition of these apps on its Ultra Box, saying that it allows customers to stream more LIVE global sporting events and their beloved Asian entertainment including Korean, Chinese and Hong Kong dramas and movies. Moreover, local favourites and anime all-in-one are also coming to customers’ big screen TV starting today.
Euan Smith, CEO of Astro TV said, “As the leading aggregator in Malaysia, we welcome beIN SPORTS CONNECT, iQIYI, and TVBAnywhere+ onto our Ultra Box, joining global streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar. More than 600,000 Ultra and Ulti Box customers can stream the biggest TV shows, signature local content and live sports all in one place without ever needing to leave the Astro interface, delivering a seamless and truly enjoyable entertainment experience.”
In order to access iQIYI, beIN SPORTS CONNECT or “VBAnywhere+ on the Ultra Box, customers have to press “Home” on the Astro remote control. After that, under the “Apps” rail, select the app you would like to access (depending on your Astro Pack). Follow the steps on the screen to log in using your Astro ID on your mobile device and pair your account to your Ultra Box. Once complete, you’ll have instant access to a library of entertainment.
